Firepainted Peacock with Labradorite Necklace
I've developed an 11 step process using a torch on pure copper sheet to obtain vibrant color. I call this "Painting with Fire." This piece features hand cut copper and bronze with a labradorite cabochon bezel set in fine silver, all cold connected with sterling silver rivets. I hand brush a permanent lacquer on each shape to preserve the color. This necklace is completed with a sterling silver chain I darken with a patina and a sterling silver handmade toggle clasp. There is no care involved. Simply use water to clean.
